Screening Are Simple And Effective
Screening for oral cancer is quick using a simple, effective process called ViziLite screening. The dentist will rinse your mouth with a solution and then shine a light into your mouth. Abnormal cells glow under the light. The process takes just 2 minutes, but could literally save your life. If detected early, the oral cancer survival rate is about 80 percent.
Leave Your Exam Healthier
After your exam, an oral hygienist will use a handheld instrument and ultrasonic scaler to remove plaque and tartar buildup from your teeth. The ultrasonic device uses vibrations to dislodge plaque and bacteria from the hard-to-reach crevices in your teeth and gum line.
Patients also may receive preventive sealants and/or fluoride treatments.
