24-Hour & After-Hours Dental Options in Las Vegas
What to Do Tonight
Tooth pain doesn’t wait for regular business hours.
If you’re up late with a toothache, swelling, or broken tooth, you need to know what to do next — and where to go for help.
At Desert Hills Dental, we treat emergencies quickly during normal hours and help guide you through urgent dental issues that happen after hours.
Is your dental issue urgent?
If you’re experiencing any of the following, it may require attention tonight:
- Throbbing tooth pain that won’t let you sleep
- Swelling in your cheek, jaw, or gums
- A knocked-out or severely broken tooth
- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Pain after a recent dental procedure
- Signs of infection like fever, pus, or a bad taste in your mouth
If you’re unsure whether it’s an emergency, call us during office hours. After hours, read below for what steps to take next.
What to do right now (even if we’re closed)
Here are a few things you can do at home while you wait to see a dentist:
- For tooth pain: Take an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the tooth or gums.
- For swelling: Use a cold compress on the outside of your cheek. If swelling spreads quickly or affects your breathing, go to the ER.
- For a knocked-out tooth: Rinse it gently, hold it by the crown (not the root), and place it in milk or saliva. Get to a dentist within 30–60 minutes.
- For broken teeth or fillings: Rinse your mouth, save any pieces, and avoid chewing on that side until you’re seen.
When can I be seen?
Desert Hills Dental offers same-day emergency care during business hours, including early morning appointments starting at 7:00 a.m. Monday–Thursday.
If you’re reading this late at night, don’t wait for things to get worse. Call us as soon as we open, and we’ll do everything we can to get you in quickly.
What if I need care right now?
If your pain or swelling becomes severe — especially if it’s interfering with breathing, vision, or sleep — go to the nearest emergency room or urgent care center. These situations can be signs of a spreading infection, which needs immediate attention.
For less urgent issues, you can wait until morning, then:
Call Desert Hills Dental at (725) 977-5901
to request an emergency dental visit.
We’re here for you — even after hours
Our patients know they can count on us. While we’re not a 24-hour walk-in clinic, we respond quickly during office hours and work hard to schedule emergency visits the same day.
You don’t have to manage dental pain on your own. We’ll help you feel better — without judgment or delay.
