Asked By You, Answered By Dr. Staten,
There are many, many dentists in and around Las Vegas. Why should I choose Desert Hills Dental?
We opened our doors in 2013, and we are proud to offer the most up-to-date, modern dental equipment in a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located office.
Our staff is motivated to earn a stellar reputation for our new practice and to build our patient base by offering professional, compassionate care in our amazing new office space.
I’d like to find a dentist our entire family can visit. How are you with young children?
Our specialty is family dentistry; we love kids (and their parents and grandparents too!) We realize that our youngest patients require a caring touch and gentle demeanor. We spend plugins time engaging them, earning their trust, and putting them at ease. Rather than rushing through their visit, we proceed slowly so they can learn to associate going to the dentist with positive feelings. Of course, we also discuss the importance of taking good care of their teeth at home to prevent cavities.
Every child is different, and we trust parents to determine whether it will be more effective to join their children in the treatment area or remain in the waiting room. Of course, we have a well-stocked treasure box so kids have something to look forward to at the end of their visit!
I always try to schedule our family’s dental appointments during my lunch break. Can I get in and out of your office in an hour?
Your time is valuable, and we strive to keep a tight schedule. Of course, emergencies sometimes arise or we need to spend more time than expected with patients – and we run behind. When that happens, we will make every effort to let you know about such delays before you head to your appointment. We’re also conveniently located about a mile from Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, and we’re very close to Bishop Gorman Catholic High School. We’ve got plenty of parking available so you won’t have to hunt for a parking space.
I’m a bit of a germaphobe. How can I be sure that the instruments you’re putting into my mouth are clean?
We are germaphobes too! Your health and safety is our top consideration. Not only is our brand-new office spotless and pristine, but so is every instrument and piece of equipment that we use. Our facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art autoclave sterilization unit. Instruments are put into the autoclave for approximately 20 minutes, where they are sterilized with high-pressure, high-temperature steam. Of course, we thoroughly sterilize our treatment rooms between patients. Our facilities and procedures all are Centers for Disease Control (CDC) certified. In short, you have nothing to worry about.
